With RENDEZ-VOUS we are putting the gastronomy and art in the focus point. Marco Simonis and Reinhold Ponesch are meeting with an openness and creativity especially here in the urban surrounding. It is a fertilizing symbiosis for all senses of man.
Both represent the same philosophy: Never lose sight of the goal! This means for Marco Simons to fulfil his own very high quality requirements every time but also to outdo it and for Reinhold Ponesch it is the constant development of forms and imagery in his works.
With both you can feel the joie de vivre and the positive attitude to the beautiful things in life. In the foreground are the communication and respectful exchange with people in the sense of a RENDEZ-VOUS.
An outstanding cuisine in an extraordinarily atmoshere is seducing your palete in the world of exceptionally art.

Performance 'IT CONCERNS YOU'
Exhibition RUTSCHBAHN, Leipzig Germany

The Performance IT CONCERNS YOU is a collaboration between Tamaki Kawaguchi and Reinhold Ponesch and addresses the issue of physical debilitation. The piece includes painting, video, dance, installation and Noh Theatre – and depicts the ageing process and its resulting dependency.
Ponesch portrays an elderly person who has become physically and mentally debilitated. Kawaguchi teeters between being the carer and being the puppeteer that is time itself. Wearing a protective raincoat, Ponesch finds himself trapped in the box that is his body. As he tries to escape, Kawaguchi paints his raincoat and the latex walls of the box as he presses against them.
Throughout the performance, elements of physical and psychological deterioration are revealed. Onlookers are invited to engage by responding to unexpected pleas for help. Post-performance, the raincoat hangs on the wall, as the scaling skin resulting from metamorphosis.
